The Folsom Lake College women’s tennis team traveled to Modesto Tuesday for their season debut and won an exciting match 5-4.

The teams split the six singles matches and the match came down to the results of the three doubles matches. The No. 1 doubles team lost in a super tiebreaker, 14-12, but Folsom’s No. 2 doubles won in super tiebreaker, 13-11. In the final match at No. 3 doubles, Folsom Lake made it two out of three as their team won 11-9 in a super tiebreaker to take the match 5-4.

The win was the first for any sports team at Folsom Lake College. Congratulations to coach Kellie Diehl and her players Maricela Medina, Skye Murray, Shelby Plasencia, Emily Roberts, Lauren Schultz, Lidia Villa and Lily Wong.
