Huber supporter should learn about district
Reader input

The letter from Mandy Jessup (“Attacks on Huber are uncalled for,” Telegraph, June 10) raises several interesting, if not troubling, points regarding political campaigns and electing our Assemblymembers.

Jessup wrote that she was “recently handed” campaign material from the Republican candidate for the 10th Assembly District who ran during the 2008 election. Ms. Jessup comments that she does not appreciate receiving “propaganda” attacking an “elected assemblywomen” whom she knows. Clearly it is a bit early to campaign for an election that is still over a year away, but if this piece upsets her, she must become completely apoplectic as the election date nears when we all receive no less than three to five pieces of “propaganda” a day, and which I can assure Ms. Jessup, that if Alyson Huber chooses to seek another term, will be distributing her own share of “propaganda” to add to the pile. Maybe we can convince all the candidates not send “propaganda” this year and make all our lives less cluttered.

She writes that she has seen the assemblywomen first hand in the community and that the flier was filled with inaccuracies. “The flier claims she is a ‘candidate’ when she has already been elected,” she writes, and “she has my vote.”

Which brings me to my second concern. Ms. Jessup signs off as a resident of Lincoln, which is located outside Huber’ assembly district, indicating that Ms. Jessup may need to better acquaint herself with who her elected representative is. Her true representative, I am sure, would appreciate the same enthusiastic support.
