By Don Chaddock, The Telegraph
Tylar Witt

The following is a timeline of the manhunt for the teens suspected of killing 47-year-old Joanne Witt.

Friday, June 12: Joanne Witt doesn’t report to work at the El Dorado County Transportation Department, worrying coworkers.

Saturday, June 13: Some of her coworkers try to reach her by phone and go to her home over the weekend, but there is no answer, according to Capt. Craig Therkildsen, of the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.

Monday, June 15: When she doesn’t report to work again, concerned coworkers call the sheriff’s office. Deputies discover Witt’s body, stabbed to death, in the home and her daughter missing. Investigators are forced to wait most of Monday for a search warrant before they can process the scene. No murder weapon is found. At 1:30 p.m., a car is towed to the San Francisco Police Department impound yard after it was found parked illegally in a construction zone.

Tuesday, June 16: Arrest warrants for the teens are issued in the early morning and the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office issues a “Be on the Lookout” notice for the suspects. When the alert comes through, San Francisco police realize they have the vehicle in their impound yard. The police department alerts the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office.

Wednesday, June 17: The San Bruno Police Department finds the teens and takes them into custody. They had been camping behind a trash receptacle wall and under some bushes. Police find a backpack, a duffle bag and some shirts, but no murder weapon. That afternoon, El Dorado County homicide detectives travel to San Bruno to interview the suspects. They are booked into San Mateo County Jail.

Thursday, June 18: Witt arrives at the juvenile hall facility in Placerville.

Friday, June 19: Colver arrives at El Dorado County Jail.

Monday, June 22: Colver and Witt have their first court appearances. Colver pleads not guilty to first-degree murder. Witt has a "detention" hearing but could still be tried as an adult.
