A Word to the Wise
Recently, I was listening to the Kim Komando, a computer expert who hosts her own radio show on Talk 650 KSTE. A man called in and asked her what he could do to generate interest in a book he wanted to publish. She suggested he start a blog — a Web log — through which his writings could attract an audience. That got my attention. For years folks have told me, “You should write a book.” As far back as 1979, Garry Yeatts told me, “Maybe you will be the writer who will bring back a balance.” That sounds all well and good, but it is one thing to say something and another thing to have something to say. Write a book about what? The compelling narrative has not been there yet. Another mental roadblock has been one Bible verse from Ecclesiastes 12:12 which reads, “Of making many books there is no end.” Or, as the New Living translation puts it, “There is no end of opinions ready to be expressed.” Look at any new or used bookstore or library and you’ll see that lots of people write books — most of them are forgettable. Still, after hearing that radio show I came home and started a blog. In it I have begun to write pieces that hopefully explain the Christian faith as I see it. It surely cannot hurt, and it may possibly help me find my way. Speaking of blogs, I also read a blog from Andy Wood called, “Just Talking Smack.” He is the owner of GamersCircle Comics in Folsom located by Big 5 and Pizza Guys. On Saturday May 2, he is participating in the annual Free Comic Book Day. Anyone who comes in will get a free comic book. They are also collecting canned goods for the Twin Lakes Food Bank, if you remember to bring some. Last Sunday night I also attended a career coaching class at Bayside church in Roseville. It was an excellent, informative and inspiring meeting for folks who are in transition. As part of the program you hook into another technological marvel called Big Tent. It is a networking tool that helps to keep you plugged in with like-minded people. So if you are online, go to thomaswrupp.blogspot.com and check it out. Read, and respond if you will. Life is truly a world wide Web, is it not? Tom Rupp lives in Folsom and can be reached at truppfolsom@yahoo.com. Also check out his blog at thomaswrupp@blogspot.com.

Reading the above comment or blog. Don't really know which, as there's not all that much difference in the two, as for as I can see.
Anyway the person talking about writing books. I'm an published author myself, I now have two books published and one ready to go to the purlisher, laking just a bit of touch up editing.
Just the same I've started on my fourth book now. I really enjoy writing, however, if you don't have a lot of money to hire the editing and going over and over your book, it sure is a time consuming proccess. That part I really don't care for but that is just part of writing if you can't afford to hire it done. I feel writing, like a lot of other thing, some have just a natural nack for doing so and others don't have.
Both of my published books can be found on Google.com I'll leave a link to my one book, the name which is: Beyond the golden Sunset and by the Crystal Sea. On some blog spots they'll allow that and on others they won't. They will let me know if they don't allow links to be added to the comment and if not, I'll just delete the link. So if you don't see it you'll know it was not allowed.
Warm Regards
William Dunigan
